Hi there,
Welcome back to K&T blog, how are you doing?
We hope the festive season has started well for you, and that things are starting to wind down as we are reaching the end of the year. We also hope that you are still trying to lose or maintain weight even though the odds are against you at this time, the festive season is really a terrible time for those trying to manage their weight and get their health back together, but it is always better to try than to give in. On our side, we are starting to experience year end fatigue, we cant wait for the much needed December holiday rest. Although fatigued, we are excited that we both managed to complete a Nutrition course, this means that we can tick this one off our goals list , it feels good 🙂 .

Back in 2021 we decided to take a formal education route in nutrition, the aim was to bolster our understanding of nutrition and to equip us with sufficient knowledge for losing weight healthily and for regaining our health. It took us long enough to complete the course but it was worth the time, money and effort, the knowledge we gained yielded tenfold on our personal health and weight loss journeys, it also enabled us to share good quality information to those we engage with and on this blog.

At that time, we could see that we had a knowledge gap and we were exposed to so much conflicting and confusing information about nutrition and losing weight . Another reason for embarking on the journey was because we had started a local fitness group and we wanted to have credible information to share with our group members , and we also had a vague vision of the possibility of venturing into another career route if an opportunity presented itself. The qualification enables us to coach and give advise on healthy dietary choices, we can create and provide balanced meal plans for clients, and we can support individuals in achieving their health and wellness goals.
If one is concerned about their weight loss progress or knowledge on nutrition, we encourage an investment in learning about nutrition, either through formal training route or by consistently following informal but credible sources such as this blog 🙂 and various blogs, youtube channels and websites. Learning about nutrition builds a foundation from where your health and fitness goals will spring , it will help you cut to the chase and avoid unnecessary sufferings of failure and disappointment.
A good foundation will then lead to an exciting journey of health and fitness whereby your body will teach you a lot about yourself, whereby your body will do things you thought you would not be capable of doing anymore. Theory and practical experience complement each other well on a weight loss journey, theory covers the basic supplies and practical experience set you out on a voyage that is unique to you.
That’s it for this week, one author of a book said “Each book has to teach you how to write it.”, if your goal is to lose weight we would like to alter this quote and say “your weight loss journey will teach you how to lose weight”, so learn something about your weight loss (or gain) this festive season. Until next week, Stay blessed.
