Hi there,
Welcome back to K&T blog, how are you doing?
Easter holidays are here, which means it is time for spiritual reflection, reassessment and rejuvenation, but it is also time for joy, laughter and celebration, as well as family time. As we all know, any celebration is accompanied by plenty of delicious food, a real challenge when you are on a weight loss journey, a test of your commitment and resilience. If you are having difficulties at this time, remember that perception is important, you are on a weight loss journey so that you can enjoy life and not to make life miserable. If you fail at some meals, its okay, focus on making the next meals better π and keep repeating until you get it right.

In light of Easter, our post title is chosen from the Christian bible to try and make a point relating to weight loss, in Mathew 5:29 Jesus uses a hyperbole to emphasise the seriousness of sin and the need to make a decisive decision to eliminate it, he states “If your right eye causes you to stumble, tear it out and throw it away.”. This is a figure of speech that we would also like to use or adapt to weight loss (with utter respect), when it comes to weight loss there are a few stumbling blocks (like sins) that stops you from making progress and reaching your desired goals, they continuously cause you to stumble and start all over again, every time.
These stumbling blocks will always be there to deter you from making it until you realize how serious they are and how serious you need to be in dealing with them. It is only when you make a decisive decision to eliminate them from your life that you reach your desired weight loss goal, which is far more important and valuable than the stumbling blocks. Can you identify some of the stumbling blocks that are constantly preventing you from progressing?, some of the weight loss obstacles we are aware of are baked goods, chocolate, Ice cream, Sodas, alcohol, junk food, sweets and starchy foods.
“There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them” β Denis Waitley.
That’s it for this week, facing your stumbling blocks head-on is necessary for weight loss (and maybe for life in general) and it is doable if you commit yourself and remain persistent. We met a lot of stumbling blocks on our weight loss journey and we are still facing new ones constantly , our approach is to identify them, accept their seriousness, commit to eliminating them and work at them one day at a time, that is all we can do π .

Until next week, stay blessed.
