Simplicity still works

Hi There,

Welcome back to the blog, how was your week?

This week we got back to the gym after 2 weeks of festive indulgence, whew talk about tough, our bodies were sore and ached the whole week, it is a case of ” If you don’t use it you lose it”. It is shocking how quickly we lost our pre-holidays fitness level, the body works in a simple way, it adapts to whatever you give it whether good or bad, active lifestyle or a sedentary lifestyle , it is a humble and willing servant. Nonetheless we are happy that we started and that we are back on the horse, we hope you have started too, because starting signify progress on your journey.

“Endings are elusive, middles are nowhere to be found, but worst of all is to begin, to begin, to begin!”—Donald Barthelme

The simplicity of the body in adapting to its environment is a good reminder of how simple most things are in nature when we filter to the basic principles. Over and over again on our fitness journey we realized the power of simplicity in achieving tremendous progress and results. When we look at what really works in losing weight and getting fit we find that it is the fundamentals, the common, the boring, the simple things that yields the most returns and sustainable results. It is eating whole foods, exercising regularly and being active, and doing so CONSISTENTLY that leads to health transformations we desire, but somehow we opt for the complex, the trending and sometimes the very hard to do…and perhaps expensive.

Our weight loss tip for the week

The old formula for keeping fit and healthy is still worth a try, Eat whole and natural food, Exercise regularly and Do so consistently.

A reminder of simplicity

That’s it for this week, simplicity is key for losing weight and getting fit but our environment has made it challenging to live with simplicity, the prevalence and convenience of processed foods is a monumental challenge when you are trying to be healthy. Although challenging, the results of avoiding junk and processed foods are worth the efforts, and that’s what we will keep trying in 2026 🙂 .

Until next week, stay blessed.
