Hello There,
Welcome back to the blog, we hope you are keeping well.
It’s almost end of January, the statistics indicates that “around 80% of “get fitter” resolutions are said to fail before January is even over“, that is a staggering percentage since being fit is seen as very important in general. Fitness is one of the basic necessities to enjoy life, it gives you the freedom to move anyway you want and whenever you want. But why do fitness resolutions have such a huge failure rate? Is the incentive of “freedom to move” not sufficient to drive us? or maybe we set high and unrealistic goals? or perhaps we have no idea what we are doing in trying to make a resolution a reality and we end up giving up? or just like many things in our current culture and lifestyle, we want it now and with as little effort as possible? our curse of convenience seeking.
“A man who is a master of patience is master of everything else.” – George Savile
The truth about transforming one’s health and fitness is that it takes a lot of time and effort, it is really a journey. It is worth remembering that it took some time to get to the current unfit state, it took some time to get unhealthy, it took some time to gain the weight, well some time is also required to undo all of this. One of the main ingredients for succeeding resolutions is being patient with yourself whilst you are putting in the work, a long term view can take you a long way. On our journey we have found it helpful to frequently remember the benefits of getting fit and healthy, these are our incentives and they have a way of keeping us patient and carrying us through the journey, especially when things are not going so well…..and they don’t go well quite a lot 🙂 .
Our weight loss tip for the week

That’s it for this week, a fitness journey is long in its very nature, being patient and consistent yields the desired results. A good aid to accompany you on the long journey of transformation is frequently reviewing your incentives for setting out on the journey in the first place, the emotions you get from just thinking about the benefits can carry you through some of the dark nights of the journey. Be patient, keep going and you will get there, you got this 🙂 .
Until next week, Stay blessed.
