The Garden: Feb 2025

Hi There,

Welcome back to K&T blog, how was your week?

The second month of 2025 is wrapped up, the new year’s resolutions are becoming a distant memory, the reality of momentous tasks associated with the resolutions is setting in. If your resolution was to improve your health by losing weight, now you realise that it takes lot to succeed at losing weight, that there are ups and downs on this journey but you have to keep trying each day. We hope that you are also starting to realise the key ingredient to losing weight ” CONSISTENCY “, it is impossible to reach your goal without it. We wish you all of the best on the third month of 2025.

“Small disciplines repeated with consistency every day lead to great achievements gained slowly over time.” – John C. Maxwell.

It is time to give a garden update for the month of February. In January, Tomatoes were the stars of the show, this month we harvested the last bounty of tomatoes, we also harvested Green sweet peppers, Jalapenos and Spinach.

We also harvested some pumpkins and cucumbers, these were a surprise as we never grew them before, and they were very few 🙂 .

We also sold some of the harvest as it became overflowing, Tshepi managed to sell some crops to her colleagues every Friday.

This month we also started a new season of the gardening, we planted new spinach, sweet peppers, beetroot and onions. We had heavy rainfall immediately after we planted, we were happy with that as the plants seems to naturally blossom with rainwater. Thinking about this in relation to weight loss, our bodies also thrive on natural foods and not so much on processed foods.

That’s it for this month, we are continuing to garden with the goal of filling our plates with our own crops, these are the crops that we know how they were grown and what went into them. Because the harvest is always plenty, we are finding it so fulfilling to be able to share the the crops we grow with our community, it feels good whenever we are able to do so 🙂 .

Until next week, Stay blessed.

Kat & Tshepi
